Hello Fuji-San!

It was another decently long train day to get to Mt Fuji from Yudanaka but we arrived about 3.30 and I called the hotel and asked for the shuttle to come get us. The man was very nice and was trying to tell us some things on the way to the hotel, little English but he tried!

The hotel had an ensuite so Ben is happy again haha

Cute little place right near the lake with a view of Mt Fuji (not the biggest or best view) from the room.  It has it's own little ago of gifts so you will sear in one of the photos the gifts that I bought there and at the Fuji visitor centre.

First afternoon we just had a look near the lake near the hotel and we had a big dinner at the hotel, full Japanese dinner with a simmer put in the middle of the table to cook your stuff! So much food again, I can't believe how much they eat in one meal! We have had rice for breakfast a few times now as well as lunch and dinner and I'm not complaining!

Day 2 we went to the Chureito pagoda for the nice views of Mt Fuji but there weren't many cherry bloodstains left in the trees... Still a great view!

Got back to Fujisan station looking foe the visitor centre and ended up buying tickets to go up to Fuji 4th station. Waited a while for the bus (I found a 100 yen shop on the 4th floor of the Fujisan shops!! Love those shops!!!

Got the hour long bus ride up to 4th station (I must have been tired add I kept falling asleep on the bus). Got to the top, couldn't see much there except that the bit of the summit we could see didn't look to have that much snow from this close up. It was also quite hazy looking back down the mountain so not the best time to do it I guess.

Quickly had a look in the tiny shop, got some karaage chicken and saw the next bus going back down was there so we jumped on it!

Got off at the visitor centre on the way down and had a look in there for about 40 minutes as the next bus was to come an hour after we got off. It was pretty interesting stuff. Saw I the Fuji video that 5th station looks heaps better than 4th station but it only opens in summer from 30 June to 26 August for the hikers. Fail again!

Waited for the bus at the almost non-existent bus stop on the side of the road for about 15 minutes after Ben hurried me out of the gift shop thinking the bus was coming but it wasn't... Good excuse lol

Got back to Kawaguchiko station about 3.15 and wanted some lunch so we found the well known Hoto noodle place and went in and saw there were other tourists and we sat down in the shoes off/sit on mats section and both got the popular dish. For about $11 this sure is with it! It was in a huge pot filled with big chunky noodles and veges. So good but it was so big I don't even know if I got halfway through it, felt bad!!

Went to the 7-11 and got some small stuff for dinner and dessert later (Ben got big cup noodles and I got some rice balls and that awesome custard cream I found at Takayama).

If there is even room for that stuff... So full!
